Does Hotels.com keep my personal information and payment details safe and secure?
Asked 2 years ago
I hate to admit, but I've had some negative experiences in the past regarding this topic on other travel and booking platforms. The issue took a while to resolve, too, so I'm not keen on going through it again. My new rule is to always check first and make sure the company I'm working with is 100% professional on all levels. So, I must ask, what is Hotels.com's safety policy? How do they make sure my private information is secure?

Due to the nature of the service offered by Hotels.com, it is necessary for them to capture and store some of your personal data, with regard to credit card numbers, your name, contact details, and your physical address.
This information is stored and distributed to third-party services when needed (such as with airlines or hotels).
Hotels.com adheres to the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks, which limit and govern how they store, and share their customer's data, as to ensure your personal privacy and security.
