Community Guidelines
Welcome to The Shop Floor, CashYo’s community dedicated to discussing all things online shopping.
You’ve come to the right place if you have a question about shipping or return policies, would like to hear others’ reviews of a particular product, or simply want to find the best deals, discounts, and cash-back offers. Of course, if you have a shopping experience or recommendation for the group, let us know!
The Shop Floor is a safe and supportive community aiming to help all members with their online purchases. To ensure that it remains an enjoyable space and a beneficial platform, we’ve compiled a list of community guidelines we expect all users to read and follow.
What We Encourage:
Politeness and courtesy (say hello)
General courtesy is the foundation of a friendly and welcoming environment. Introduce yourself, be polite, and show small acts of kindness. Courtesy also means being concise in your questions and comments and staying on the topic of discussion.
Respect (agree to disagree)
You’re very likely to come across people from different backgrounds with experiences and opinions that differ from yours. It’s important to treat everyone with respect and respect that they might not share the same views as you.
Active participation (get your feet wet)
Get involved in the forum discussions as far as possible. We encourage all members to ask questions, share opinions or advice, or tell us about their relevant experiences.
Helpfulness (lend a hand)
We aim to have a supportive and encouraging community where we share resources, leads, or other information that can help others with their online purchases.
What We Don’t Allow:
Hate speech (words hurt)
We don’t tolerate any type of discrimination or prejudice toward anyone or any group of people, for example, racism or sexism.
Harassment (no one likes a bully)
This can take many forms, from threats or provocation to verbal abuse, trolling, or personal attacks.
Indecent language (keep it PG-13)
Don’t use vulgar, obscene, or offensive language or profanity. If you wouldn’t expose your children to it, please keep it out of the forum.
Advertising (we’re here to buy, but not from you)
We don’t allow any form of unsolicited advertising or self-promotion. In a similar vein, please do not send spam or chain letters or tell us about pyramid schemes.
Misrepresentation or fraud (no wolves in sheep’s clothing)
You don’t have to use your real name, but don’t pretend to be someone else, give us misleading information, or be involved in any other deceptive behavior.
Sharing or soliciting personal information (because oversharing isn’t safe)
This means that you shouldn’t reveal or ask anyone else to reveal their personal or private information, especially phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, or social security numbers.
Tampering (don’t break the site)
Don’t do anything that interrupts or disrupts the normal running of the site and the forum or distribute malware.
Anything illegal (naturally)
This should go without saying, but we don’t allow engaging in, promoting, or enabling others to commit any illegal activity.
Enforcing the Community Guidelines
As we mentioned earlier, the community guidelines are in place to keep the forum running smoothly and a safe space for open, friendly, and productive discussion. If we believe someone is violating these guidelines, we won’t hesitate to take action.
Reporting Misconduct
Every member has an important role to play in creating a positive environment. Although we monitor the forum as best we can, we may not be aware of every violation of the community guidelines. So, we ask members to report any instance of misconduct they encounter. If you come across a post contravening our rules, please fill out a form on our Contact Us page. We ask that you come to us with your concerns rather than addressing the offensive post on the forum. We will keep your identity anonymous.
Consequences of Misconduct
What happens to those who misbehave? That depends on the nature of the offense and how often the individual has misbehaved. We may give the person a warning, especially if it was an unintentional mistake or miscommunication. However, we may also edit or remove the offensive post, temporarily suspend or permanently revoke certain privileges, delete the person’s CashYo account, or even (if it’s necessary) involve the relevant authorities.
Terms of Use
Remember that the information shared on the forum hasn’t been verified and is often someone’s opinion. Therefore, you should treat any advice, suggestion, or resource cautiously. It’s important to do your own research before trusting a source enough to make a decision or transaction. In particular, always familiarize yourself with a third party’s terms and conditions and policies.
The information shared in the community discussions should never be used as a substitute for the expert advice and services of trained professionals. We highly recommend consulting with a reputable company or qualified and experienced individual before making any important decisions or purchases. These include, but are not limited to, financial advisors, accountants, travel agents, and healthcare professionals.
CashYo does not necessarily share the views expressed on the forum. We won’t be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or special damage, loss, injury, illness, or other consequence arising from using the forum and its contents.
CashYo may publish, distribute, reproduce, and use your submissions for marketing, informational, or other purposes without requesting your permission or providing compensation.
