What are some budget-friendly ways to travel within Europe?
Asked 2 years ago
Hey guys, I was wondering if someone can help me with this. I'm in Europe and want to visit as much places as I can, but I'm sort of on a budget. I've heard buses and trains are affordable, but I don't know what's the best option. So, what's the best way to travel within Europe for cheap?

When traveling Europe on a budget, you want to get as close to the lifestyle of the locals as you can, while still seeing as much as possible.
The locals will know all the places with the best deals, where to get the cheapest rides, and where to eat. Getting familiar with local customs will also open you up to a variety of free activities that you would otherwise miss when staying on the tourist path.
Eat local meals, take public transport (busses and trams), walk or use a bicycle when possible, and don't overspend on accommodation. (volunteering is a great way to save on accommodation costs).
Traveling on a tight budget means you will have to give up some comforts for a while, but the reward will be a longer trip with more to see.
